I think Freud would have a field day with the motivation behind the purchase of such a vehicle -- and this is from someone who is a car guy. If your vehicle is going to consume that much gasoline, at least get some performance , or at least have it be a decent pick-up for hauling material. I just can't see wasting that much gas and have roughly the acceleration and top speed of the 1971 VW Type 3 Squareback in which I learned to drive.
