Bite Me
This little fellow had his heart set on nippling on this barrier line! He would stop for but a moment to pose...and then continue on chewing away. I just love how the colors of the barrier line are the same colors as the Spanish flag. Thy also have halters, lead ropes, and saddle pads with the same colors. I might have to pick some of those up! :0) I just learned how to colorize black and white the other day...by accident, so I thought I would post a couple of these prototypes. MiRea´s Realm: The composition is framed in this way due to the red fencing that you may have noticed in the background. It was in the foreground, too, in fact directly over the colt's eyes, which was less to be desired. I do agree that the foal looks a bit cramped; however, also feel that it helps add to its curious nature: trying to get into things it shouldn't, like a child with its hand in the cookie jar. T.
outtake
I shot literally a thousand images of the TPMU and this is one of my favourites just because it was such a flukey thing to catch both horse and rider with the same grin. It never fails to crack me up. This is a crop of a larger image so you get the full impact of that toothy grin.. And although the Sgt. in the picture could have chosen a more formal and more serious shot for his trading card, he ended up choosing this one, which for me says volumes about the unit and how human and down to earth they are and why I enjoy working with them so much. As an aside, each card back has stats about the horse and rider and each officer got to have a little quote at bottom of the card. If I remember correctly this one was "Always look on the bright side of life"... Monty Python..
whazzup?
hey everyone! i am back from camp..it was packed with activities and loads of fun..we the workers were totally beat when we went home last night.. one thing we did was to let them go horseback riding for a full hour..and when they came back i had tons of barbequed hot dogs for them..which vanished very fast! i think it was the highlight of the camp for most of them.. caught this guy at a great moment..don´t know what he´s saying..maybe "hello to these flickr people that definately will see my photo"..;).
Phew!!
How about some creative captions?? LOL.

On horse transposition
The American Heritage Dictionary defines to transpose as "To put into a different place or order" (meaning 2). Would this photo reflect two transposition events, or is it better to consider it a single event in which both order and place are changed? (I'm thinking about buying a camera with a fixed 28 mm lens, the Sigma DP1 and thus I'm working on my cropping technique).
My Cousin's Bunny
