In June 2002, two South Korean girls were accidentally and tragically crushed to death by US Military vehicles conducting exercises. As anti-American sentiment grew, signs like this sprung up, stating American were not welcome. Location: Chuncheon, Kangwon Province, South Korea More at Utah Castaway ..

Morning Wood
In Korea you can see some strange signs, and this is one of the funniest I've seen. This little shop is located along a little street full of furniture stores in Uijeongbu, near Seoul. My guess is that they just pulled something random off of an Internet search engine that somehow related to wood furniture..

A Classy Way to Say Squatter
30 Days of Gratitude Day 9 I'm grateful that this washroom had throne toilets as well. My knees were not made for squatting,,,,haha! Found this on a stall door in the ladies washroom in the subway yesterday, Either the Korean writing the signs had learned English from a Brit, or it was a Brit who did the translation from Korean into English. Either way, much classier than.......SQUATTER. :).

Unlucky number
The number four is considered unlucky in Asia, where people occasionally go to silly lengths to avoid saying or using the number. Witness the buttons in this elevator in Korea. What strikes me as funny here is that, although Koreans take great pride in their unique writing system, they have resorted to the use of the first letter of an English word to ward off bad luck..

I found this old sign on a shop, down a small alley, in the heart of Seoul. While the Kodak sign on the right is spelled correctly, the sign onthe left wasn't as faithfully reproduced. The rest of the sign is old and worn. I wonder what it says..
