Jimmy 'The Tongue' Beldowney
1938 mug shot, James Beldowney, (born 1930) aka-Jimmy "the tongue", aka-JT, aka-JImmy Bugeyes, aka-Bugeye Jim, aka-Bite Downey, aka-Bad Boy. Called "The Enforcer" by the local newpapers of the time, James Beldowney was an immigrant from China, and was adopted by the Beldowney family of East Meadow. Never a good student he quickly became a known delinquent by the local Police department. At the age of 4 he moved from low level B&E crimes to murder when he Killed and ate Dolores Ferenti an 83 year old woman who fed the pigeons in prospect park. After two years in pound he escaped disguised as a cat. He next surfaced as a strong arm for the Perlitari crime family where he is thought to have commited numerous murders for the head of that family, Carbo Perlitari. He died of old age in pound in 1941..
